Make Handwashing Become Second Nature to Your Toddlers by Using a Self-Contained Portable Sink

Toddlers are probably the hardest set of people whom you can teach about the habit of handwashing. With their very young minds, they don’t fully understand the importance of the said activity. For parents and caregivers, it becomes essential that these toddlers are taught about the merits and the proper way of doing handwashing.
Little children in the ages of two to three are very prone to suck their thumbs, lick their hands and grab cookies with their dirty hands. Because of these, toddlers must know about handwashing so that they can be prevented from ingesting contaminated food, from incurring infections and overall, from actually getting sick.
To make handwashing become second nature to these toddlers, the use of a self-contained portable sinks are a must. Regular sinks that can be found in the bathroom and in the kitchen are too high for these kids to reach. Using a chair to prop them up can be risky especially if you are not around by their side when they go about the task on their own.
In the market, there are self-contained portable sink units that are designed for toddler’s use. Such equipment usually stands around two to three feet which is just ideal for these kids. When you have this thing inside the house, you can go about cleaning your hands before eating meals and snacks in your regular sink and tell your little toddlers to do the same in their own units.
Kids will find the handwashing activity enjoyable because at their age they love imitating grown-up habits. Plus, the miniature size of the sink serves like a play thing to them so it won’t be difficult to entice them to do the activity on their own. With constant use, the handwashing habit will simply become second nature to your toddlers.
